Your measurements

Start with the example, then make it yours. Change units beside each measurement.

English, Persian and Arabic numerals work. Use a dot, comma or ٫ for decimals; use spaces or ٬ for thousands. A comma is always a decimal.

Your measurements stay in this page. No uploads, saved input URLs, or calculation requests are sent to a server.

Your estimate

Based on your inputs. Purchasing quantities round upward.

How the calculation works

The formulas

Choose fixed gaps to centre the arrangement, or minimum symmetric margins to distribute the available width and height as equal gaps. Frame positions are measured from the upper-left of the available area.

Arrangement width = columns × frame width + (columns − 1) × gapX

GapX from margins = (available width − 2 × marginX − columns × frame width) / (columns − 1)

Frame X = left margin + column index × (frame width + gapX)

Assumptions to check

  • Frames have equal outer dimensions. Hanger offsets, wall anchors, and frame mass are outside the calculation.
  • A single frame is centred on its axis. Negative gaps or insufficient margins trigger a no-fit warning.

A worked example

Three 0.4 m frames with 0.1 m gaps form a 1.4 m-wide row. In a 3 m space, left and right margins are 0.8 m.
